For more than two decades, GM St. Catharines has hosted Canada’s largest GM-powered car show at McKinnon Park here in St. Catharines, Ontario. At its inception, the Show n’ Shine was a passion project organized by dedicated GM employees and in its first year featured 16 Corvettes and a handful of enthusiasts. Since then, the car show has developed into a more inclusive event for the plant and the community, showcasing any vehicle powered by a GM engine and averaging 400 vehicles and twice as many spectators from across Ontario and New York State.
The annual Show n’ Shine returns Friday, August 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and features a variety of vendors, special displays and food available for purchase, with all proceeds donated to United Way Niagara.
Additionally, awards are distributed to car show entrants in 26 categories including Best of Show – Vintage, Best of Show – Most Radical, and Best of Show – Plant Director’s Choice.
Must be 18 or older to enter a vehicle. Event is rain or shine.
