The FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre presents a six-show series aptly titled, PAIRINGS, featuring award-winning artists ‘paired’ with local artists and matched with Niagara wineries for a truly unique musical experience.
Robertson Theatre will be transformed into a beautiful production space for a live concert event for 25 pairs to enjoy, in-person. This will be a sensory light and sound experience to remember. Each livestream will be professionally filmed and captured in real-time by Fourgrounds Media to enhance the online viewing experience.
Julian Taylor is used to shaking it up over the course of 10 albums in the last two decades. Of West Indian and Mohawk descent, Taylor first made his name as frontman of Staggered Crossing in the early 2000s. In everything he does, Taylor has carved his own path, creating genre-free music with a generosity of spirit and a strong belief in the healing powers of song.
Semiah is a singer/songwriter from Six Nations, Ontario. She began professionally singing traditional music from her Haudenosaunee heritage in her late teens in solo performances and as a member of the singing trio, Hatiyo (the good voice). Semiah continues to challenge herself in her song writing to explore the nuances of identity, love, and the growing pains of her twenties.
