Niagara Grape and Wine

Who’s up for a little Grape and Wine fun in Downtown St. Catharines this weekend? The Niagara Grape and Wine Festival’s Wine and Culinary Village continues at Montebello Park with another weekend celebration of Niagara wine held in one of the most beautiful settings in Niagara. Grab your friends and get ready for the best party of the year. Enjoy more than 100 Niagara VQA wines, mouth-watering local cuisine, live music, and unique experiences you won’t want to miss. Admission to Montebello Park is free.

At Grape and Wine, the fun isn’t just reserved for adults; the whole family can join in on the excitement! Step into our Family Fun Zone, where endless joy awaits children of all ages.

Canada’s largest wine festival’s self-guided Discovery Pass weekends continue in St. Catharines and Niagara this weekend. Enjoy the self-guided tour of some of the best wineries around, including 13th Street Winery, Henry of Pelham Family Estate Winery and King’s Court Estate Winery.

 

Brock Homecoming 2023

The most anticipated alumni tradition at Brock University in St. Catharines, kicks off this weekend with a range of activities combining beloved and entirely new experiences. Homecoming 2023 features the return of fan-favourite events, such as the Steel Blade Classic, and new additions. Celebrate and reconnect with fellow Badgers over two weekends September 16-24.

Cultural

Celebrate Culture Days in St. Catharines starting this weekend. From September 22 to October 15, 2023, we celebrate art and culture through a diverse range of free live and virtual performances, workshops, and events. All events are free, but some require pre-registration.

All are welcome to the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts for the closing reception of Afterthoughts, A Solo Exhibition by Linda Carreiro. Meet Carreiro, a visual artist, researcher, and writer whose work explores the inextricable relationship of language to the body, revealing tactile qualities of printed text as a reminder of its derivation from the root word texere (meaning tissue or texture). The reception is set for Friday, September 22 from 5-7 p.m.

Join Archives Wine and Spirit Merchants for Fiesta De Sabores, an evening of Latin American food and wine! A collaboration brought to you by La Paisana, Fred Wines and Mod Wine Co., sip and taste your way through 8 courses and 4 wines in an intimate and unique setting. 

The Film House offers unique films in a modern, cinematic environment with Niagara wine and craft beer. Visit the Film House website to see what else is playing this week.

Markets, Shopping and More

Every Wednesday until October 18 Hernder Estate Winery will be hosting a farmers market, featuring fresh produce and craft vendors, from 1:30-4:30 p.m. and a supper market, featuring food trucks, wine, beer and live entertainment, from 4:30-8 p.m. Follow Hernder Events on Facebook and Instagram for updates. Farmers and Supper Markets are family and dog friendly. Free parking available.

Experience the St. Catharines Farmers Market and enjoy everything Niagara grows, bakes, and makes in our community. The St. Catharines Farmers Market is open year-round on Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Visit the Warehouse Concert Hall Sunday, September 24 for another great day of shopping at the Warehouse Flea Vintage Market. Featuring vintage clothing, housewares, handmade goods and more. Free admission. This event will also include a special pop up from Stoke Deli Bar with delicious sandwiches, salads and more.
