Get outside
Maple flavoured family fun
Spring is maple syrup season in Ontario and it’s ‘sappening’ now in St. Catharines. Celebrate Spring with the Sugar Bush Trek at White Meadows Farms. Open Saturdays and Sundays from February 28 to April 12 and all week on March Break (March 16-20) from 10am-3pm.
Hiking
Search for signs of Spring on some of the best hiking trails around. St. Catharines is home to a section of the Bruce Trail, a public footpath inviting everyone to explore the natural wonders of the Niagara Escarpment. Take a Spring hike in the Short Hills, at Rockway Conservation Area or explore the City of St. Catharines’ Trail Passport, where you can download and print out individual trail cards for popular trails and document your memories and experiences on each.
Sculpture spotting
There’s plenty of outdoor sculptures and public are to enjoy in St. Catharines. Take a wander around the downtown to see Graffiti Alley, Curtain Call at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre, the Buky Schwartz Sculptures at Brock University’s Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts and more. Be sure to check out the Niagara Artists Centre and its Studio Shop while you are out and about.
Indoor fun
Aerosports Park St. Catharines
If your youngsters are bouncing of the walls, check out Aerosports Park St. Catharines. This trampoline park offers so much gravity-defying fun, including open jumps over huge trampolines, extreme dodgeball, ninja warrior obstacle zone and more.
K1 Speed St. Catharines
Visit one of Canada’s largest indoor go-kart tracks right here in St. Catharines! Great for families with kids of all ages – they even have Canada’s first Bambino track for racers age 3-7. With a fully stocked arcade, and some delicious bites, you’re sure to make it a day to remember.
Head to the movies
Looking for the latest Hollywood blockbusters playing in St. Catharines? Check out the showtimes at Landmark Cinemas at the Pen Centre, Niagara’s largest shopping destination (which is now home to a new Kingpin bowling alley, mini-putt, and arcade).
Parkway Social
Gather up the gang to make unforgettable memories at Niagara’s premier entertainment venue, Parkway Social in St. Catharines. Enjoy laser tag, ten-pin bowling, an arcade with prizes and some of the best eats around.
Public Skating
Canada Games Park is hosting a public skate on Monday March 16 from 1-3pm.

The City of St. Catharines has also added public skating times for March Break at its arenas.
St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre
Paired with our You are Here mapping exhibit, March Break at the Museum will feature two unique kid-focused activities each day exploring historical mapping skills and our sense of place in St. Catharines. Participants will hear stories, create maps, use a surveyor’s chain, hunt for treasures, and have fun. Come each day for a new adventure!
