St. Catharines Fire and Emergency Services hosts the 2023 Southern Ontario Regional FireFit Championships in St. Catharines on the June 24-25 weekend. FireFit Championships is a competition based on fire fighting tasks commonly performed in emergency situations and has become known as the ‘toughest two minutes in sports.”
Everyone is welcome to this free family-friendly event and enjoy the high-energy competition and other fun activities, including a children’s FireFit course so they can practice their skills, a vendor market featuring local businesses and makers. St. Catharines Fire will also have bins on site for food donations.
Competition on Saturday, June 24 features individual head-to-head races between firefighters. Team relay events take place Sunday, June 25. Competition runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
