A Niagara Christmas Carol: The Foster Festival

December 4, 2025 - December 14, 2025   |   Mandeville Theatre, Ridley College   |

A Niagara Christmas Carol, adapted by the Festival’s Artistic Associate, Jamie Williams and directed by the Festival’s Artistic Director, Emily Oriold, is a uniquely Canadian version of Charles Dickens’ holiday ghost story. Celebrate the holiday season with a heartwarming holiday outing. A Niagara Christmas Carol takes to the stage of the Mandeville Theatre, Ridley College, from December 4–14. Presented in partnership with the St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre, this holiday production is perfect for the whole family.

In commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the Welland Canal Company and the canal’s historic construction, this adaptation sets Dickens’ timeless story right in 19th-century St. Catharines, during the canal’s second build. A Niagara Christmas Carol stars Claire Jullien, Darren Keay, Emily Lukasik, Francis Masaba, and Jamie Williams — five actors who play 20 different characters, in what promises to be an imaginative, entertaining, and meaningful start to your holiday season.
