April @ the PAC

April 1, 2026 - April 30, 2026   |   FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre (250 St. Paul Street St. Catharines)   |

April at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre is a celebration of scale and spectrum—where intimate storytelling, high-energy spectacle, and iconic music all share the stage. The month opens strong with Lighthouse (Apr. 1), the legendary Canadian band whose fusion of rock, jazz, and classical sounds has remained timeless since the 1970s. A few days later, JUNO Award–winning artist Aysanabee (Apr. 4) brings a powerful and deeply personal performance to the Recital Hall, blending indie-folk and alternative rock into a sound that feels both grounded and expansive.

That same evening, audiences can experience something entirely different with Ten Thousand Hours (Apr. 4), a visually striking acrobatic production that explores discipline, mastery, and transformation through breathtaking physical performance. Film lovers are also in for a treat mid-month with screenings of The Shawshank Redemption (Apr. 11 & 12), offering a chance to revisit one of cinema’s most enduring stories in the intimate setting of The Film House.

Comedy and crowd-pleasing fun take centre stage as April continues. A Little Bit Much (Apr. 14) delivers sharp, self-aware humour through a one-woman comedic monologue, while rock fans can choose between laughs and anthems with A Tribute to Foreigner & Journey (Apr. 14) and the ever-popular Just for Laughs Roadshow (Apr. 15). Later in the month, the Niagara Symphony Orchestra presents the ambitious and immersive Symphonic Pink Floyd: The Wall (Apr. 18 & 19), followed by family-friendly magic with Dino Light (Apr. 21), a glow-in-the-dark theatrical adventure sure to delight younger audiences.

April wraps up on a high note with a mix of legendary albums, choral excellence, and virtuosic musicianship. Classic Albums Live: Bon Jovi – Slippery When Wet (Apr. 22) delivers a note-for-note rock experience, while Mystical Songs (Apr. 25) and SingOntario 2026 (Apr. 27) showcase the emotional power of choral music and community voices. The month closes with Jesse Cook (Apr. 29), whose globally inspired guitar work brings warmth, precision, and passion back to Partridge Hall.

From iconic films and world-class music to comedy, circus arts, and family programming, April at FirstOntario PAC offers something for every kind of arts lover—and more than a few reasons to plan multiple visits.
