Celebrate Christmas across two centuries of family farm life on a special candle-lit tour of the John Brown House!
Enjoy hot chocolate as you tour the oldest home in St. Catharines, built beginning in 1796. Discover stories of the farming families who once lived at the Brown Homestead and learn how Christmas traditions changed over time into the twentieth century. Each room will be candle-lit and decorated to reflect a different historical era.
This holiday experience is available for three dates only:
- Thursday, December 12, 12-8 p.m.
- Friday, December 13, 12-8 p.m.
- Saturday, December 14, 10 a.m. 10 4 p.m.
Tours begin every hour, on the hour. Tours are 50 minutes in length. Registration is encouraged, but drop-in visitors are welcome. Open by donation.
Recommended $5 per person donation plus a non-perishable food item for Community Care of St. Catharines and Thorold.
