From live music and music festivals, pro basketball, a world-premier from Canada’s most prolific playwright Norm Foster and so much more, July in St. Catharines is packed with fun things to do for the whole family.

Downtown Block Party

The Downtown Block Party returns to the heart of St. Catharines Saturday, July 27.

Surrounded by the unique backdrop of scenic Downtown St. Catharines, this free family-friendly music festival features multiple stages of diverse music, vendors, family games and activities and more. Enjoy a wide variety of diverse dining and eclectic shopping while dancing through the streets!

Niagara River Lions basketball

Join the hunt and catch pro basketball in St. Catharines with the Niagara River Lions and the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL).

River Lions’ home games are played at the Meridian Centre and feature non-stop entertainment before, during and after world-class professional basketball games.

Lakeside Long Weekend

Enjoy a spectacular Lakeside Long Weekend celebration at Lakeside Park in St. Catharines on June 30 and Canada Day on July 1.

Lakeside Long Weekend promises two days of family-friendly fun and entertainment against the picturesque backdrop of the St. Catharines waterfront in Port Dalhousie. Some highlights include:

Those Movies by Norm Foster

The Foster Festival presents the world premier of Those Movies by Nom Foster at the Mandeville Theatre in St. Catharines.

Exciting professional theatre returns to the heart of Niagara! The Foster Festival is thrilled to kick off its 2024 Mainstage Summer Season July 4-14 with another world premier from Canada’s most prolific playwright, Norm Foster.

Alexisonfire, City and Colour, Dine Alone Records and Live Nation Canada are bringing back the Born and Raised concert series to St. Catharines July 5-6.
 
Back for its second year, the two-day event features a City and Colour and Alexisonfire playing hometown concerts at Montebello Park with a stacked lineup of friends joining them in rocking Downtown St. Catharines.

Jelly Roll

Grammy-nominated country music star Jelly Roll is coming to St. Catharines this summer for his first show in Canada!
 
On July 8, the multi-genre entertainer makes his historic first performance in Canada at the Meridian Centre! Featuring fellow performers Allie Colleen and Callie Twisselman, the show is in direct support of local charity the Heather Winterstein Foundation.

Steven Page

2024 World Rowing presents Steven Page and a celebration of Niagara’s rowing community at the Oars and Encore Concert Friday, July 26 at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre in Downtown St. Catharines.
 
As the Niagara Region prepares to host the 2024 World Rowing Senior, Under 23, and Under 19 Championships from August 18-25, everyone is invited to come together and celebrate.

On July 26, the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre hosts a special evening combining a concert headlined by acclaimed Canadian musician Steven Page, a founding member of the Barenaked Ladies, with a recognition ceremony honouring key champions in Niagara’s rowing community.
