While Niagara Falls’ Winter Festival of Lights may hold the title of Canada’s largest free outdoor light festival, the region is also home to other holiday lights events that, while lower key, are equally as lovely. If you’re keen to bypass the crowds and traffic this year and soak up a simpler, but equally spectacular holiday scene, St. Catharines and Port Dalhousie have some delightful surprises in store!

 

 

Let It Glow, Downtown St. Catharines

Celebrate the magic of winter in downtown St.Catharines from December 2 – January 8, 2023, at Let It Glow – A Celebration of Light. This free, accessible, family-friendly outdoor festival features interactive light installations, entertainment, winter workshops and cultural programming.

Bask In The Glow

Grab a hot drink at one of the many coffee and sweet shops in Downtown St. Catharines and take a snowy stroll to catch the festive light installations at www.lovestc.ca

Let It Glow, Port Dalhousie

The Let It Glow fun flows all the way from Downtown St. Catharines to Port Dalhousie with picture-perfect views at:

  • Rennie Park at 60 Lakeport Rd
  • Olde Lock One Commons 45 Lakeport Rd.

Let It Glow revelers can warm up with a cozy meal at restaurants like The Twisted PigKaiser HausPortside Social Bar & Kitchen and Patio Andaluz. Afterward, grab a hot drink from 416 CoffeeBalzac’s, or Captain’s Cabin Café for your wintery walk.

Instead of rushing back home after a leisurely light-filled evening, relax a little longer by booking a room at a great St. Catharines hotel.
