Welcome to St. Catharines

On behalf of everyone at St. Catharines Fire Services, I welcome you all to our
community and wish you all a safe start to the school year.

It’s the mission of St. Catharines Fire Services to serve and protect all St.
Catharines residents from the ravages of fire, to prevent their property from
becoming less valuable, and to allow for a continued quality of life through a
knowledge of fire safety. As you are settling into your new home away from home

I urge you to do the following:

Fire Chief Jeff McCormick

– Make sure there are working smoke alarms and working carbon monoxide
alarms in your home or residence, as required by the Ontario Fire Code.
– If there is a problem with either your smoke or carbon monoxide alarms contact
your landlord to correct the problem.
– Make an escape plan so you know a safe way out in case of emergency.
– Be prepared with an emergency kit with 72-hours worth of supplies.

If you have any questions regarding fire safety please call our Fire Prevention
Office at 905.688.5601 ext. 4224 or visit stcatharines.ca/fire  for more information.

Have a great year!
